Top Ranked Children’s Hospitals Tap Canon Business Process Services for Managed Services

Today Canon Business Process Services (Canon) today announced that we provide managed services and technology—spanning inventory and materials management as well as mail, shipping/receiving and print management services—to three of the country’s top 10 children’s hospitals as ranked by U.S. News and World Report. An annual report by the publication ranks the nation’s top 50 children’s medical centers by 10 pediatric categories.1

Canon’s solution involved implementing an automated tracking system that more accurately monitors the delivery of mail and packages, including medical supplies and equipment.

The system utilizes special tracking software and scanning devices to track packages from the receiving dock to areas responsible for delivering critical patient care. This significantly reduces the potential for losing packages or delivering them to the wrong destination points. Such mistakes can result in the need to reschedule surgeries, potentially disrupting the lives of children, their parents and the medical staff.
