2016 Am Law 100 Firms Tap Canon Business Process Services to Improve Document Management, eDiscovery Processes

Canon Business Process Services (Canon) today announced it provides onsite managed services—spanning eDiscovery, records management, reprographics, mail and general office services—to 32 of the 2016 Am Law 100firms. This includes two of the top five firms. The recently-released Am Law 100 list, published annually by ALM Media Properties, ranks the top U.S. law firms according to gross revenue.

Continuously improving eDiscovery and other processes is a critical activity for law firms that want to maintain a competitive edge. Canon helps enhance these processes so firms can streamline operational efficiency, contain costs and implement technology that improves client service. By leveraging Canon’s expertise, law firms can better focus on their core mission: practicing law.

Canon recently announced that it has enhanced its CaseData® web-based document review system with keyword reporting. This feature enables attorneys to more efficiently discover relevant information while reducing document review time. A critical component that advances the process of refining search strategies, keyword reporting allows legal professionals to provide CaseData with lists of keywords and patterns. CaseData then executes searches and provides reports containing information that helps identify false positives, along with statistics that illustrate the effectiveness of each term. By combining this type of information with an iterative process of testing and sampling, users can achieve their discovery goals more effectively.

Besides working with legal industry leaders, Canon Business Process Services itself is a recognized leader. The company has been named to the Leaders Category of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP) 2016 Global Outsourcing 100 list for the past ten years in a row.
